Todd Bates lead the Reserve Grade side in 2012.

Todd's coaches report for 2012 are below.

5th August v-Souths

Townson Oval

At the weekend we dominated a very good south Newcastle side and played the football I knew we were capable of.with the oldest player being 25 and the youngest being two 17 year olds I called into the team Ryley Thomas and Joel Hafey,  as well as Zeb Dunstan 18
We were outstanding in all aspects of the game and played the best we had all year.
Our attitude has turned around and we are hitting form at the right time

July 28th -v- Kurri

I was extremely happy with my reggies boys on Sat against Kurri.

We played the football I knew we were capable of playing, only making one handling error in the first half.

Our attack and push after line breaks was great and our online defense was exceptional.

It's hard too pick any standouts but Jake Watts showed he was a class above and Ben Russell was top class.

Congrats also to Jayden Brown on his starting debut.

July 22nd -v- Central

at Cessnock

Last week we toughed out a scrappy win against central.

Although it wasn't pretty we scored points with only 12 men on the field and sometimes you have too win like that too get your season back on track.

Young Ethan at 7 continues too improve and the Russell brothers were again impressive.

Jayden Brown and Mitch Clarke were outstanding backing up from thirds

July 7th  - Nelson Bay

at Cessnock

No report from this weeks game

July 1st - Wyong

at Wyong

No report for this game
June 23rd - Macquarie
at Cessnock Sports Ground

Women in League
My boys played some good footy against a first placed Macquarie

We lost 2 players in the warm up and another in the first set of the game so that put our boys under pressure for the rest of the game but I thought we showed some great resistance against a side that can score points............

On the other hand, once again we were the better side and really lost it for ourselves.

I liked the way Ben Taia and Gene Brown looked coming back from long injuries as well as our branxton triplets Sam, Ben and Jake.

We can definitely turn it around this week in a must win for us at Wyong.

I really believe my boys can give the comp a shake!!
