MICHAEL MURRELL

Michael enjoyed playing on the Wing for Cessnock's First Grade squad in 1982 & 1983.

Michael's Most Memorable Moment was the 1983 Finals Series. 

Mick has said that he enjoyed playing with/against John Hunter & Robert Finch

Micks proud Rugby League Achievements include Playing 1st Grade in Brisbane, Rep Newcastle & Rep Central QLD

Life after league for Mick is.... Business

Mick played for arch rivals Maitland before he came to play with the Goannas




DAVID WOODBURY

David enjoyed 10 years of playing footy for the Goey's. 
He played from 1978 to 1987. 
 
David played 1st Grade and 2nd Grade and he played 2nd row/front row 
 
David's Most Memorable Football Moment was when he made his 1st grade debut.

David enjoyed playing with local legend and good mate, Mark Watson.

David  continues to have a strong affiliation with the Cessnock Goannas. Currently holding the position of President of the CRLFC.



 

KANE BRADLEY

Kane played at Cessnock from 1997-2008.

Kane came up through the local Goanna's club and his preferred positions were Halfback & Five eighth.

Kane's Most memorable moment is the First Grade 2003 Premiership

Kane was fortunate enough to enjoy the following Representative Duties Newcastle Rep 2003 & 2007, NSW Country 2003

Kane's Proudest achievements were...  Winning the 2003 Grand Final, Winning 2003 Country Championship with Newcastle & representing NSW Country in the same year. Also getting life membership of the club in 2006.

The Most respected person Kane played with /against was Lance Lennard. He was incredibly tough, hardworking & very passionate. He was a player everyone wanted to play alongside & he would always amaze me at the work he would get through on the field. I will never forget his face when he scored the try to win the 2003 GF.

The Funniest person Kane played with/against was Darren Burzinsky, one of the most random & out there guys ever.

These days you will find Kane Working, working & working, where I am a business partner at LJ Hooker Maitland.

In his spare time Kane enjoys What is spare time??? When I get it I enjoy time with my 2 girls & my wife relaxing. My main interests are Golf & fishing and I enjoy my footy now watching with a beer in hand.



Bill Peden 
 
Bill played with the Cesssnock Goannas from 1989 to 1993 
 
Bill played both Reserve & 1st Grade and his preferred position was Lock 
 
Bill's Most Memorable Football Moment was Winning 1997 ARL Grandfinal as part of the Newcastle Knights First Grade side.
 
Bill  enjoyed playing with and against all of his mates .

Bill's biggest Achievements in sport was that he was given the opportunity to Play in NRL 
 
Bill's Life after league see's him working as a coal miner back close to his home town of Cessnock.
 
Bill spent  4 years living & playing league in London
