Don Schofield
Don Schofield a Cessnock junior who came into grade football in 1949 and played 269 games for Cessnock, played 34 times for Newcastle including games against Great Britain, France and New Zealand. Represented NSW 5 times and for Australia in the 1957 World Cup. Don was a fierce competitor both in attack and defence was said to have had the best dummy ever seen, was a member of the wining sides of 1950, 1954, 1955 and 1960 one of greats.
