About
About this site
Cessnock Rugby League keeps the Newcastle Rugby League’s results and records in one place, with Cessnock at the centre.
It is written by Craig Dunstan. Stories cover the competition’s news and its history, and the record pages list every premier since 1910.
Independent
Cessnock Rugby League is an independent history and records publication. It is not affiliated with any club, league or governing body. It speaks for no one but itself.
How the records are kept
Premiers and runners-up come from the NSWRL honour roll, cross-checked against Wikipedia’s grand final tables; later seasons are checked against league and newspaper reports, and history stories against the newspapers of the day on Trove. Where two records disagree, the page says so. If you spot an error, tell us and it will be corrected.
